(Which means that they call YOU when there is a problem.) Vacation?\u00a0 Ha.\u00a0 You\u2019re never really on vacation because you need to be connected via phone and email to keep things running.\u00a0 This is all normal.\u00a0 It exciting and exhausting and it is now part of your identity.\u00a0 You are a business owner.\u00a0 And it\u2019s not a sustainable life balance.\u00a0 You probably lose sleep, precious time with your family, and\/or question if this is worth it.\u00a0 Getting a real job sounds like a good\/bad idea-depending on the day.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>STAGE II Delusion.<\/strong>\u00a0 You\u2019re still working at it.\u00a0 You have more customers and more people and a bigger payroll.\u00a0 Your customers know members of the team and will call them for help.\u00a0 As a business owner, you are probably selling services that you don\u2019t deliver.\u00a0 Growth!\u00a0 Good!\u00a0 When will this get easier?\u00a0 Why has my company hit a plateau?\u00a0 Why did my last three hires not work out?\u00a0 Process, procedure and accountability are little more than words used to guide the quality of the work.\u00a0 Core values is a forgotten list on your website.\u00a0 You are managing the day-to-day as people come into your office several times an hour, to ask a quick question.\u00a0 It\u2019s no fun.\u00a0 You remember the days of building, doing and being in the trenches.\u00a0 The slog of serving customers (Determination) looks better than the management structure that is sort of in place.\u00a0 You think that you can use brute force to get this company to the next level. You\u2019re delusional.\u00a0 Let\u2019s cut to the chase-it doesn\u2019t work, it simply prolongs the pain and limits everyone\u2019s success. \u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>STAGE III Personal Growth.<\/strong>\u00a0 In order to move beyond an entrepreneur-operated business to an entrepreneur-led business, YOU have to evolve.\u00a0 You need to establish a system that actually removes you from managing the day-to-day and guarantees that service will be delivered the way you want.\u00a0 How will you do that?\u00a0 Core values combined with true accountability across the team. If you thought Determination and Delusion were hard, get ready for the real work. Your personal growth is about primarily about holding yourself accountable to empower your team.\u00a0 When you commit to it, your team, the business and you thrive.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The bottom line is that if you commit to leading through core values and accountability, you will have tangible results within a year.\u00a0 If you continue on the path, not only will have the time to work on the business, you\u2019ll be able a to take real vacation.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>What stage are you in today? \u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are an entrepreneur that feels stuck or is in daily business pain.\u00a0 This blog is about and for you.
